SELF-EFFICACY DAN KECEMASAN BERKOMUNIKASI MAHASISWA DALAM MEMPRESENTASIKAN TUGAS

Abstract


Mahasiswa dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang baik, namun terkadang mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan ketika berhadapan dengan orang lain contohnya saat melakukan presentasi. Salah satu penyebab kecemasan tersebut adalah self-efficacy. Self-efficacy merupakan keyakinan individu terhadap segala kelebihan yang dimilikinya untuk mencapai suatu tujuan tertentu. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kecemasan berkomunikasi dalam mempresentasikan tugas di depan kelas pada mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dengan instrumen penelitian melalui kuesioner. Responden dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa tingkat 1 dan 2 Universitas Bhakti Kencana Tasikmalaya sebanyak 107 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner GSE dan PRCA-24. Analisis data menggunakan metode korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan kecemasan berkomunikasi dalam mempresentasikan tugas (r = -0,214; p-value = 0,027). Artinya semakin tinggi self-efficacy mahasiswa maka akan semakin rendah tingkat kecemasan berkomunikasi dalam mempresentasikan tugas.
