KOKRISTALISASI ASPIRIN DAN ASAM TARTRAT DENGAN METODE PENGUAPAN PELARUT

Telah dilakukan upaya kokristalisasi aspirin dengan asam tartat sebagai koformer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan disolusi aspirin (ASP) karena termasuk ke dalam BCS kelas II yang memiliki permeabilitas yang tinggi dan kelarutan yang rendah. Pembentukan kokristal ASP dan asam tartat dibuat dengan perbandingan molar 1:1, 1:2, dan 2:1 dengan menggunakan metode penguapan pelarut. Padatan yang diperoleh kemudian karakterisasi menggunakan powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) dan Spektrofotometri fourier transform infra red (FTIR). Berdasarkan hasil spektrum FTIR tidak terjadi pergeseran spektrum antara gugus fungsi ASP baku dengan padatan hasil kokristalisasi. Termogram DSC menunjukkan tidak terjadi perubahan perilaku termal antara padatan hasil kokristal dengan ASP baku. Hasil analisis difraktogram PXRD menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat puncak baru atau pola difraktogram yang berbeda dibandingkan dengan ASP baku sehingga dapat disimpulkan tidak terbentuk fase kokristal. Hasil uji disolusi pada padatan kokristalisasi 1:1 mampu menaikan laju disolusi 78,56% pada menit ke- 30 dibandingkan dengan ASP baku. Peningkatan laju disolusi pada perbandingan rasio molar 1:1 disebabkan karena terjadi pembentukan campuran eutektik antara ASP dan asam tartat.
