Formulasi dan Uji Stabilitas Sediaan Masker Serbuk Amylum Temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb.)

Abstract


Curcuma is a medicinal plant that contains curcuminoids as active components consisting of curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin. Curcuminoids in curcuma can function to brighten the skin or as a tyrosinase inhibitor and as an antioxidant. This study aims to examine the best formulation of powdered mask preparations from starch curcuma based on physical evaluation and stability tests of preparations. The test methods used were total plate count test, organoleptic test, particle size test, flow time test and angle of repose, pH test, homogeneity test, hedonic test and stability test. The test results showed that F3 was the best formula and had good stability in oven storage at 40º. The characteristics of the mask were in powder form, yellowish white in color, with a characteristic scent curcuma. It has a particle size value of 1 mm, a poor flow time, and an angle of repose value of 40º. The results of the 6.3 cm spreadability test and the pH value of the preparation were 5. The conclusion of the study showed that F3 was the best formula and had resistance at 400C storage temperature.
