OPTIMASI SISTEM PENGHANTARAN OBAT ANTIDIABETES ORAL MELALUI POMPA OSMOTIK UNTUK PENINGKATAN BIOAVAILABILITAS DAN EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI

Peningkatan prevalensi Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Indonesia memerlukan pengobatan yang efektif untuk mengontrol kadar glukosa darah. Obat antidiabetes oral semakin disukai karena kemudahan penggunaannya, meskipun sering kali menyebabkan fluktuasi kadar glukosa darah. Review artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sistem pompa osmotik sebagai metode penghantaran obat yang dapat memberikan pelepasan obat yang lebih stabil, meningkatkan bioavailabilitas obat, dan efektivitas terapi. PubMed, Science Direct dan Google scholar adalah beberapa sumber artikel yang digunakan dalam pencarian informasi mengenai sistem penghantaran obat baru untuk antidiabetes oral. Artikel-artikel yang digunakan mayoritas adalah artikel terbaru yang ditulis dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir yaitu dari tahun 2014-2024. Kata kunci yang digunakan dalam pencarian jurnal-jurnal tersebut adalah "drug design diabetes" “new drug delivery diabetes” “drug delivery system for oral antidiabetes” “osmotic pump capsule”. Melalui pencarian yang komprehensif, 10 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dipilih untuk dianalisis. Artikel-artikel ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga mengenai perkembangan terbaru dalam bidang ini, termasuk desain formulasi, evaluasi kinerja, dan potensi klinis. Formulasi yang dioptimalkan menunjukkan laju pelepasan obat yang konstan dan kinerja yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan formulasi yang ada di pasaran, serta meningkatkan bioavailabilitas obat antidiabetes. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi inovatif dalam pengobatan DMT2, dengan potensi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas terapi dan mengurangi frekuensi dosis.
