SKRINING FITOKIMIA DAN EVALUASI FISIK SEDIAAN FACIAL WASH GEL EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata L.)

Abstract


Facial wash is a type of cleanser that is useful as a facial cleanser so that it can remove oil and dirt from the face evenly. The facial wash is made in gel form because it is easy to use, easy to clean, does not contain oil, feels cool, dries quickly, and has a light gel fiber structure that helps clean facial skin. The active ingredient that can be used in this facial cleanser is soursop leaf extract because it contains alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, and tannins which have an antibacterial function. The flavonoid compounds in soursop leaves which act as antioxidants have benefits for preventing premature aging. Antioxidants are substances that have the function of fighting free radicals and can provide protection to the body from attacks by various diseases. The material used as a gelling agent is carbopol. Carbopol has the advantage of being dispersed by water and having a low concentration (between 0.05- 2.00%) which provides sufficient gel viscosity compared to other materials. Research data was recorded for data analysis purposes. The data was processed using the SPSS application applying the one-way ANOVA method which aims to find the average of each data. The one-way ANOVA test provides results with a significance level of <0.05. Based on research results, shows that soursop leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The results of the physical evaluation show that formula I proves that facial wash gel is more feasible compared to formulas 2 and 3, and the results of physical testing on the soursop leaf extract facial wash gel formulation show that the pH test, homogeneity, spreadability, and foaming power are by the parameters which is determined.
