Molecular Docking Study of β -Carotene Compounds as Anti-Cancer
Abstract
β-carotene is a type of carotenoid that is abundant in fruits and vegetables in nature. β-carotene has potential as an antioxidant making beta-carotene can act as an anticancer agent directly, and also has the potential to help boost the immune system to help cancer fighters. Beta-carotene can cooperate with the immune system as a causative factor to prevent cancer. β-carotene can protect the immune system from damage caused by ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) so that the immune system can carry out its duties optimally so that it can recognize abnormal cells in the body that can later cause disease, including cancer
