KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN INSTALASI GAWAT DARURAT (IGD) RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH SINGAPARNA MEDIKA CITRAUTAMA (RSUD SMC) KABUPATEN TASIKMALAYA

Abstract

Background: Emergency Room (ER) is one of the main lines as the entry of patients to the hospital that performs actions based on triage of patients. The main purpose of ER is to receive, triage, stabilize, and provide acute health services to patients, including patients who need resuscitation and patients with a certain level of emergency. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the ER patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) SMC Tasikmalaya District. Methode: The Study design uses quantitative descriptive with a retrospective approach. The sample In this study were 383 people using sistematic random sampling technique. The data used are secondary data from medical records. Data analysis conducted was univariate analysis. Result: The results showed that the characteristics of respondents who came to the ER RSUD SMC of Tasikmalaya District based on the gender category were mostly female as many as 211 people (55.1%), the age category was mostly 25-44 years old, as many as 108 people (28.2%), the type of visit category most of the visits were new visit as many as 277 people (72.3%), the way to pay the most was using JKN as many as 310 people (81%) , the originating category was 54 people from the Singaparna Sub-district (14.1%), the category of cases was mostly the respiration system that is 99 people (25.8%). Conclusion: The conclusion is that the characteristics of ER patients at RSUD SMC of Tasikmalaya District are mostly female, 25-44 years old, new types of visits, origin of the Singaparna sub-district, and types of respiratory system cases. This shows that the diverse characteristics of patients who come to the emergency room, so that good management is needed in service to improve quality of services provided.
