PENGARUH BENTUK PREPARASI PROBIOTIK GENUS LACTOBACILLUS PADA SEDIAAN TOPIKAL SEBAGAI POTENSI PROBIOTIK DALAM KOSMETIK : TELAAH PUSTAKA

Penelitian mengenai khasiat probiotik yang memberikan efek positif untuk kulit baik dalam penggunaan oral maupun topikal telah banyak dilakukan. Hal tersebut semakin mendorong potensi penggunaan probiotik untuk kebutuhan kosmetik. Penggunaan probiotik secara topikal tidak selalu menggunakan sel bakteri dalam keadaan hidup tetapi juga menggunakan bakteri dalam keadaan sel tak hidup. Bentuk preparasi probiotik (bakteri hidup atau tak hidup) yang berbeda ini dimungkinkan dapat mempengaruhi masalah viabilitas dan efektivitas probiotik dalam sediaan topikal. Telaah pustaka ini membahas pengaruh dari bentuk preparasi probiotik terhadap viabilitas dan efektivitasnya dalam sediaan topikal. Telaah pustaka dilakukan terhadap 42 artikel yang telah terpublikasi dengan rentang waktu 10 tahun terakhir, didapat dari basis data google scholar dan situs penyedia jurnal online lain seperti Pubmed, DOAJ dan Science direct, dengan menggunakan 14 kata kunci. Berdasarkan telaah pustaka yang telah dilakukan bentuk preparasi yang paling umum digunakan pada aplikasi topikal adalah preparasi dalam keadaan sel tak hidup karena bentuk preparasi ini cenderung lebih stabil bila dibandingkan dengan bentuk sel hidupnya.
