Uji Sifat Fisik Granul Instan Ekstrak Pegagan (Centella Asiatica) Menggunakan Metode Fluid Bed Dryer

ABSTRACT
The application natural materials have been widely used in types of pharmaceutical preparations, one of which is the use of gotu kola (Centella asiatica) plants. Gotu kola plants have been widely used in daily life, including fresh vegetables, gotu kola have also been found in traditional medicine in the form of herbs and have properties such as antioxidants and anti-diarrhea. Instant granules from gotu kola extract are the choice because they are easy to use and can increase the acceptability of their use. The purpose of this research is to make instant granules from gotu kola extract using the fluid bed dryer method. From the results of the production, it was obtained that the instant granules of gotu kola extract were green in color, had a sweet taste and had a characteristic odor and also had acceptable physical properties where the results of the evaluation of the preparation averaged flow properties of 15.98 ± 1.52 (s/100g), angle of repose 21.91±1.09o, compressibility 24.6 ± 1.04 %, and LOD 1.52 ± 0.15% with pH 6.7. Strengthened by the results of the dispersed velocity test where the granule preparation has very good solubility and also no sedimentation from the solution made.
ABSTRAK
Pemanfaatan bahan alam sudah banyak digunakan dalam jenis sediaan farmasi, dimana salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan dari tanaman pegagan. Tanaman pegagan sudah banyak digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari diantaranya sebagai lalapan segar, pegagan juga sudah banyak dijumpai dalam pengobatan tradisional yang berbentuk jamu dan memiliki khasiat diantaranya sebagai antioksidan, antidiare. Granul instan dari ekstrak pegagan menjadi pilihan karena mudah digunakan dan dapat meningkatkan keberterimaan pada pemakaiannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan pembuatan granul instan dari ekstrak pegagan menggunakan metode fluid bed dryer. Dari hasil pembuatan didapatkan granul instan ekstrak pegagan berwarna hijau, rasa manis dan berbau khas juga memiliki sifat fisik yang dapat diterima dimana hasil evaluasi sediaan rata-rata sifat alir 15,98±1,52 (s/100g), sudut istirahat 21,91±1,09o, kompresibilitas 24,6±1,04 %, dan LOD 1,52±0,15% dengan pH sediaan 6,7. Diperkuat dengan hasil uji kecepatan terdispersi dimana sediaan granul memiliki kelarutan yang sangat baik dan juga tidak adanya sedimentasi dari larutan yang dibuat.
